Europe, Pt 1

We’ll see if I keep this up…

So it’s day three of my European trip. So far:

Liam, Frazz and I went to Antwerp on the first night. After getting used to driving on the right side of the road, we arrived at the hotel and headed out to sample the nightlife. After going to a few bars, we headed off in search of a particular bar that had been recommended to us but found out it was in the middle of Antwerp’s red light district. Having never been in a red light district before, I was pretty fascinated, but not half as much as Frazz. Seeing scantily clad ladies beckoning you from behind glass doors is certainly a sight to be seen.

The next day we headed off early for Meppen in Germany, but stopped off at a national park in Holland on the way, where we hired some bikes and raced around like we were 10 again.

Meppen is a small town, but I was playing on the “Rock Vor Gericht” stage at their town festival. I didn’t know what to expect, but I played to about 150 people, and went down well, I think. We got free food, free beer and a hotel room - it would be amazing if every gig was like that.

If you didn’t already know, I have a new song available on my bandcamp page. It will be on the split CD with A Great Notion that’s out next month. I’d love it if you checked it out.

Best show.

Yo! After a few weeks off, Derby DIY is back and this Saturday we’ve got Apologies, I Have None with the awesome Cory Branan from the lovely United States and Cambridge’s wicked Sam Russo. We’re also joined by Andrew Cream and A Great Notion. Click the poster for the event! See you there?!
(Also the worst poster I have EVER made. I’m disappointed in it.)

This weekend just gone, we made the trip up north to play some shows with UNFUN and Pudge. I’m still not sure whether it was an awesome weekend, or a total disaster….It was kinda both.

Awesome - shows we’re a lot of fun. We got merry and hung out with our friends. It was really nice to just be…
